Mumbai : The IPL auction process has come under controversy after Parth Jindal raised some questions on the IPL's retention process. The IPL team has retained some of their favorite veterans. Mumbai have retained veterans like captain Rohit Sharma and Jaspreet Bumrah. Chennai has retained Dhoni, ICB has retained Kohli. However, Delhi could not retain some of their veterans. Therefore, Delhi has been hit hard.

As per the current rules, Delhi has retained some important players like Rishabh Pant, Akshar Patel, Prithvi Shaw, Enrique Norkhia, but they have not been able to retain veterans like Shikhar Dhawan, Ravichandran Ashwin and Shreyash Iyer. That is why questions have been raised about the IPL auction process.

The franchise can only retain 4 players

Parth Jindal has said that the release of Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada and Ashwin was painful.
